Web and mobile products, built by a small senior team
A first version that won't need rewriting in a year, a rebuild of the system nobody wants to touch, or the feature your in-house team hasn't had time for. Weekly demos, fixed scope, and code that lives in your repositories from day one.
What we're usually asked to build
Four situations come up again and again.
A first version
Founders who need a product in front of customers quickly, built so it can grow instead of being thrown away at the first funding round.
A rebuild
An old application, or one an agency left behind, that's slow, fragile and hard to change. We rebuild it in stages so the business keeps running.
Extra senior capacity
A feature or project your in-house team doesn't have time for. We work in your codebase, follow your conventions and leave it better documented.
Integrations
Connecting the systems you already pay for: Xero, Salesforce, HubSpot, Shopify, payment providers and industry platforms.
What you get
Production software, not a prototype dressed up as one.
- Product scoping and a clickable prototype before the build starts
- Web applications in React and Next.js; mobile apps in React Native
- APIs and back-end services in Node.js or Python
- Automated tests, CI/CD and preview environments for every change
- Accessibility to WCAG 2.2 AA and agreed performance budgets
- Analytics, error monitoring and app store submission
- Documentation and a handover to your team or the next developer
How it runs
Short cycles, a working build every week, and scope you can see.
Discover
We agree the users, the problem and the smallest version worth shipping, then turn it into a clickable prototype and a fixed quote.
One week · $4,900Build
Two-week sprints with a demo every week. You can try the real product from the first sprint onward.
Six to ten weeks · fixed quoteLaunch and hand over
Release, monitoring, app store submission, and thirty days of fixes after launch. Then documentation and handover.
Included in every buildHow we work
The habits that keep a fixed-price software project honest.
Fixed scope per stage
We agree what's in each stage in writing. If you want to change direction, and you often should, we re-quote the difference before doing it.
Weekly demos of real software
Not status reports. You see working features every week and can put them in front of customers early.
Your repositories from day one
Code, designs and infrastructure live in your accounts. If you stop working with us, nothing needs to be transferred.
Boring technology
We use well-supported, widely known tools so you can hire people to maintain them.

Pricing
Every build is quoted at a fixed price after a discovery week.
| Option | Price |
|---|---|
| Product discoveryOne week. Users, scope, clickable prototype and a fixed quote for the build. | $4,900 |
| First releaseSix to ten weeks. A production-ready web or mobile product, launched. | fixed quote |
| Feature or integration projectA defined piece of work in an existing product. | fixed quote |
| Ongoing developmentA named engineer for a set number of days each month. | from $3,500/mo |
Price depends on scope. After the discovery week you get a written quote with a list of what's in and what's out, so there are no surprises.
Common questions
How do you handle a fixed price when requirements change?
Requirements always change, and that's healthy. We agree scope for each stage in writing. When something new comes up, we tell you what it costs and what it would replace, and you decide.
Who owns the code?
You do, from the first commit. Everything is in your repositories and accounts, and our agreement assigns the intellectual property to you.
Can you work alongside our in-house developers?
Yes. We follow your conventions, review each other's code, and make sure your team understands everything we add.
Do you do design?
We handle product and interface design for most builds and test it with clickable prototypes. If you have a designer or brand agency, we work from their designs.
What happens after launch?
Every build includes thirty days of fixes. After that, most clients either take it in-house with our handover or keep a named engineer on a monthly plan.
